The Beatles' Frontman Becomes Britain's First Billionaire Musician

The United Kingdom has just had its first billionaire musician. This title is given to one of the legends of the famous rock band The Beatles. This first billionaire musician was none other than Sir Paul McCartney.

At the age of 81, McCartney was labeled a billionaire and beat other famous British musicians. Reporting to The Times newspaper, Paul McCartney led at the top of the Sunday Times Rich List. According to the BBC McCar and his wife Nancy are worth £1 billion ($1.3 billion), up from £950 million ($1.2 billion) in 2023. According to the rank from the newspaper, Andrew Lloyd Webber takes second place with £515 million, while Sir Mick Jagger follows with £415 million.



McCartney’s billionaire title was obtained from many things. That worth came some tours, catalogs, and Beyoncé’s cover of his song Blackbird. Additionally, according to data from The Times, McCartney’s net worth had been steadily climbing for the past six years. The net worth rose from about £750 million in 2018. Moreover, in 2022, The Beatles frontman headlined England's biggest music festival called Glastonbury. 

In terms of British billionaires, according to the new data, the number of billionaires in Britain consists of 350 individuals and families that have £ 795.36 billion of wealth combined. However, the list said that the number of British billionaires dropped again which continued from 2023.
