Attaboy! This Indonesian Rock Band Will Perform at Fuji Rock Festival Japan 2024

An Indonesian supergroup will rock in an infamous Japanese annual festival this year. The group is proudly-known to perform on the same day as Noel Gallaghers, the icon of UK rock and roll. Additionally, the band is also in the same lineup as Kenya Grace, the singer of the viral song “Stranger.” The Indonesian band  that will perform the same day with Kenya Grace is Ali. The supergroup will rock the Fuji Rock Festival Japan 2024 stage, and Indonesians must be proud!

Ali is an Indonesian supergroup that consists Arswandaru, John Paul Patton, and Absar Lebeh. Ali is considered a supergroup since the members are already famous with their own band. Arswandaru Cahyo together with the vocalist and bassist of Kelompok Penerbang Roket, John Paul, as well as Kevin Septanto, the bassist of Elephant Kind formed Ali in 2019. This supergroup has the combination of Middle Eastern music with elements of 1970s Indonesian rock, soul, funk, disco and afro music as their genre.Thus Ali debuted their first album Malaka in 2023. 

Speaking of the festival, the festival is called Fuji Rock Festival Japan 2024 and usually held in three days. Fuji Rock Festival is a notorious annual music festival that usually is sparked by prestigious stars and celebrities. Last year the headline included The Strokes, Foo Fighters and Lizzo. This year the SZA, Kraftwerk, and Noel Gallaghers will headline the festival. Aside from the headline, the lineup is also phenomenal. This year the lineup will feature Peggy Gou, Girl in Red, Kenya Grace, and many more. Additionally, Ali the Indonesian supergroup will perform on the same day and the same stage as Noel Gallagher and Kenya Grace. Ali will rock and roll Fuji Festival on Sunday, 28 July 2024.
