EHYPEN’s Jay is Going Rock with a Japanese Rock GLAY

Jay, a member of Korean boyband ENHYPEN, turned to rock rather than K-pop at this time. In this particular moment, Jay collabed to make a rock single. This collaboration is supposed to mark the 30th anniversary of a Japanese band, GLAY.

GLAY has already announced the collaboration with ENHYPEN’s Jay to create a new single. The single was announced to be released on May 29th, 2024. The announcement from GLAY’s official website and twitter say that the single will be entitled “whodunit.”

In the making of “whodunit” Jay of ENHYPEN is participating as the singer and the lyricist. Jay will share the same role as singer with GLAY's vocalist, Teru.

In co-writing the lyrics, it is the first time for Jay to write in Japanese.

Collaborating with Jay, GLAY's leader Takuro felt honored to make the single. His acknowledgement was posted on GLAY's official website, "This time I was honored to collaborate with Jay (ENHYPEN)."

Takeru also continues, "The competition between the talented vocalists Teru and Jay and the arrangement by Hisashi are newer than ever, and Jiro's groovy bass, which brought a new wind to GLAY with the single " THE GHOST" in 2023, and I and Jay (ENHYPEN) also co-wrote the lyrics, so please look forward to all of the songs."

Through the same page of the GLAY's official website Jay also said that he is honored to be involved in the GLAY's project. It was written, "It is a great honor and a dream come true to be able to participate in the commemorative work of GLAY.”

The writer of ENHYPEN's "Sweet Venom" said that he hopes that many people would resonate with the song and the song will be listened by many people.
